Mac 'n cheese is a traditional American comfort food, made here with bacon, cheddar sauce, and pasta. Served with a side salad.

Pasta:
1 onion
2 garlic clove
1 broccoli
1 pkgbacon
400-500g pasta
2 dlpasta cooking water
1 pkgcheddar sauce
1 tspsalt
0.5 tspblack pepper
Salad:
1 salad
1 pkgcherry tomatoes
1 tbspoil
pinch salt
pinch black pepper

Bring water to a boil for the pasta.

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic cloves. Rinse and cut the broccoli into small florets, also slicing the stem. Slice the bacon.

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. When there are about 2 minutes left, add the broccoli to the pasta to cook. Drain the pasta and broccoli well, saving 2 dl of the cooking water.

Rinse and tear the salad into a bowl. Wash and halve the cherry tomatoes, adding them to the salad. Season with oil, salt, and black pepper.

Heat a pot. Add the bacon and stir for 3-4 minutes.

Add the onions to the pot and continue frying for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour in the cheddar sauce and 2 dl of pasta cooking water. Add the cooked pasta and broccoli, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Heat quickly, stirring.
