Indonesian-Style Beef Curry with Rice

Peel and slice the onion. Peel and grate the garlic.

Pour 700 ml of water into a large pot and bring it to a boil. Meanwhile, rinse the rice in a sieve under cold water. Once the water boils, salt it, add the rice to the pot, and reduce the heat to a low simmer. Cook for approximately 11–12 minutes.

Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced meat and sauté with constant stirring for 3–4 minutes.

Add the onion to the pan and sauté for 1–2 minutes over medium heat. Then season with curry paste, black pepper, and soy sauce.

Pour coconut milk into the pan. Rinse the package with 1 dl of water and add it to the mixture. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 6–8 minutes.

Finely chop the cilantro.

Divide the curry with rice onto plates, garnish with cilantro, and drizzle with lime juice.
